Annual Education Assistance Grants
Before completing the application form, please read the regulations below. Then, complete the form in BLOCK CAPITALS and submit it with all supporting documents by August 30, 2024 to:

GENERAL INFORMATION
Each candidate must be a child of a Grace Co-operative Credit Union member, where such a member has been contributing to the Credit Union for the past 12 months.
Candidates should also be in one of the following categories:
- Be between the ages of 10 and 12 years and attending high school for the first time, having completed PEP and primary/preparatory school in 2024.
- Be between the ages of 14 and 18 years for CSEC and 17 and 19 years for CAPE and sat external examinations in June/July 2024 at a high school.
- Be a full-time student between the ages of 18-22 years at a tertiary institution accredited by the University Council of Jamaica.
Please note that assistance will be for one (1) year only in any one category. A previous award in any category will not prevent an applicant from being considered.
CONDITIONS
During the tenure of the assistance, it is expected that the successful candidates will maintain high standards of performance. These standards are:
- To maintain satisfactory grades each term of at least a B average
- To maintain a good attendance record, and exemplary behavior
Recipients of the Carlton Alexander Bursary will not be eligible for this grant.
The Grant is very competitive, and scores for PEP and secondary groups will be based on academics, punctuality, attendance, conduct, attitude, and extra-curricular activities. Scores for the tertiary groups will be based on the GPA.
SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
The following documents should be submitted along with the application form:
- A copy of the student’s birth certificate
- School report for the academic year just completed along with PEP, CSEC, and CAPE results, where applicable.
- Acceptance letter from institution (where applicable).
- Recommendation from the school’s Principal/class teacher would be an asset.
